Vape Device:

A vape device also known as vaporizer or vape kit is an electronic device, powered by a battery used for vaping. It instantly heats water into vapour instead of slowly heating. To produce vapors, an e-liquid is filled in the vape device and then heating trigger button is pressed.

Parts of vape device:

A vape device consist of several parts but mainly there are 3 main components of all vape devices.

E-liquid tank /Atomizer
Heating coil
Battery

1. E liquid tank or Atomizer:

It is the component of a vape device that holds the e-liquid and consist of a coil that is responsible for heating the e-liquid. All vape tanks in the UK are legally limited in capacity to a maximum of 2ml. An e-liquid is a thick liquid and can produce a lot of vapour so 2ml is quite enough.:

2. Heating Coil:

It is a replaceable or rebuildable component inside the tank, consisting of wires wrapped in a coil shape. It is responsible for heating the e-liquid to produce vapours.

Note: The vape coil is the only part of a vape device that must be replaced every few weeks. Overused vape coils result in a ‘burning’ taste and should be replaced immediately.

The coil's resistance is the power of the coil and it affects the wattage range suitable for the tank.

3. Battery:

All vape devices are powered by the battery which can be either inbuilt or removable (external). In many vape devices for beginners an in-built battery is used and it is normally charged using a micro-USB or USB-C cable, just like a smartphone.

Battery capacity should be considered while purchasing an e-cigarette. For heavy smoker a device with larger battery is recommended.

Types of vape devices:

There are 4 main categories of vape devices.

Cig-A-Like Device
Vape Pod Device
Vape Pen Device
Vape Box-Mod Device

Cig A like Device:

Cig-a-likes are the first type of vape device, designed to look and feel like traditional cigarettes. Cig-a-likes are discrete and lightweight devices that arrive prefilled with liquid but cannot be refilled with e-liquid. This means they must be disposed of after usage, which can cost more in the long term

Vape Pod Device:

Pod devices, often known as vape pod kits, are a new and popular product on the market. These vape devices are compact and lightweight, with excellent built-in batteries, making them easy to transport and use throughout the day. For beginners, they are highly recommended.

Because of the design of their changeable e-liquid tanks, known as cartridges or replaceable pods, they are extremely popular. They can be pre-filled with vape liquid or refillable, and the type of tank determines the type of pod device.

Vape Pen Device:

Vape pens, like pod devices, are generally easy to use, but are slightly larger in size and always designed in a cylindrical shape. The majority of vape pen devices include an in-built battery that can be charged with a USB connection, while other pen devices include a removable battery.

Vape Box-Mod Device:

Box mod devices, also known as box mod kits, are the most powerful type of vape device and are hence primarily utilised by intermediate to advanced vapers.

One of the best features of box mod kits is the ability to manage the device's temperature and power. Furthermore, they all include removable tanks as one of the modules, giving you an infinite number of tanks with even more advanced features to pick from.

Best vape device for beginners:

As a newbie, you should start with the vaping pod device. If you want to end up with a powerful box mod kit, it's best to gradually migrate to more powerful devices.
